After winning the pitch in June 2015, architectural firm Space Encounters was commissioned to design Joolz's new headquarters in a former machine factory building in an up-and-coming neighborhood in Amsterdam. Based on the core values of the manufacturer of ergonomic strollers, the focus was laid on positive design. Entirely in style with this optimistic ideology of Joolz, Lensvelt supplied several individual pieces of furniture.
Besides successfully transforming a factory into an office, a place was created that perfectly reflects Joolz's vision of celebrating the beautiful things in life. All walls were removed creating a large and open space, which is surrounded by three sumptuous gardens. These gardens provide a pleasant backdrop to the daily office routine, improve the indoor environment, and offer employees more exotic choices to work on a daily basis.
The office spaces feature the Boring collection, which livens up the natural environment even more with its plain and modest look. The other open and bright rooms of this former industrial building are filled with AVL Glyders, W.H. Gispen Coffee Tables and 4000 Meeting Tables. The organic colors and shapes of all the pieces blend beautifully with the botanical gardens and all contribute to this inspiring workspace.
