LENSVELT WINS MILAN DESIGN AWARD 2016

The Milano Design Award is known as the “Oscar of the international interior world”. Lensvelt and Space Encounters won best concept for the presentation of the Boring Collection out of 1600 exhibitors. The jury raved about the clever concept and the courage of Lensvelt to create an anti-design statement on the world’s largest design fair. The grey furniture pieces from the Boring Collection are not particularly striking, they seem to disappear in the interior, so that the focus can be on everything else that matters’. Visual artist duo Lernert & Sander were commissioned to promote the Boring Collection. Not the furniture, but office life itself is given the lead in their campaign. Like the countdown to the last minute before five o'clock, and the paper wad, the universal symbol for boredom at the work floor.

LENSVELT WINS MILAN DESIGN AWARD FOR THE 2nd TIME

In 2017 Lensvelt won for the second time in a row the prestigious Milano Design Award for Best Concept. There is no other company in the world which has done this before. We are so proud!

“May I Have Your Attention Please?” was the launch of the Maarten Baas 101 chair, designed by Maarten Baas for Lensvelt. Hans Lensvelt was the first one to get the artist to design a mass product. The result is a series of unique chairs that look like they are all individually hand-drawn. It is one of the bestsellers of Lensvelt.

LENSVELT WINS ELLE DECORATION AWARD & WALLPAPER DESIGN AWARD 2012

In 2012, Lensvelt and Studio Job won the Elle Decoration Award and the Wallpaper Design Award for the Job Cabinet with the oversized golden key. A year later we presented the Studio Job Collection during Salone del Mobile 2013. Lensvelt and Studio Job developed a compact collection of office furniture that consists of the Job Cabinet, Job Buffet, Job Desk and Job Office Desk Lamp, each piece adorned with an iconic golden part. Our presentation was called My Nose My Stekkerdoos, and took place in the historical Sala Cenacolo at the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) in Milan.
