Gebiedsontwikkelaar BPD neemt 150 medewerkers in dienst en neemt zijn intrek in het voormalige Burgerweeshuis (1960) ontworpen door Aldo van Eyck in Amsterdam. Het rijksmonument werd gerenoveerd door Wessel de Jonge Architecten, waarna Ex Interiors hun nieuwe interieur bouwde. Door het gebouw te transformeren is er een nieuwe dimensie toegevoegd die het oorspronkelijke ontwerp eer aandoet.

De nieuwe binnenlaag, die ooit een voormalig weeshuis was, is getransformeerd tot een comfortabele werkplek. Het interieur is beschouwd als een nieuw element dat is toegevoegd aan het rijksmonument. Het strakke en sobere ontwerp sluit naadloos aan op de strakke ritmes, ruimtelijke indeling en maatvoering van de bestaande architectuur, waardoor een vanzelfsprekende eenheid ontstaat.

Alle werkplekken zijn voorzien van meubilair dat past bij de uitstraling van de sobere architectuur. Om de werkplekken van de nodige (visuele en akoestische) beschutting te voorzien zonder de ruimtelijkheid van de architectuur te verstoren, zijn schermen ontworpen die de ruimte verder opdelen door middel van de archiefkasten. De materialisatie en het lijnenspel van deze schermen verwijzen naar het oorspronkelijke vaste meubilair van het Burgerweeshuis. In de zitkuil zijn modulaire, lederen zitelementen geplaatst die passen bij de kleur van het aanwezige hout en de pure uitstraling van het beton.
