Rick Minkes

Rick Minkes is Lensvelt’s Lead Product Developer.
He is the essential link between the designers and suppliers.

A proud Cum Laude graduate from Delft University, Rick earned his Master’s degree in Industrial Design with an internationally renowned thesis, the topic being: Office Furniture in a Flex Environment.

At Lensvelt, he keenly develops products together with Joep van Lieshout, Richard Hutten, Marcel Wanders and Maarten Baas. Rick works efficiently, with a down-to-earth attitude and knows the essence of a design with academic precision, translating outlines into timeless, serial designs. His work is often depicted through sharp lines, clear volumes and pristine proportions.

This collection embodies timelessness, functionality, comfort and affordability. Rick's love for defined shapes, clear volumes and purity is exemplified through this it.

RNA Chair is the first addition to the RNA collection which is a timeless, stackable, comfortable and affordable chair. chair. In combination with a lightweight steel frame, the RNA 141 Chair is the perfect stackable chair for the contract market.

No Idea series

The No Idea is a series designed by Rick Minkes design in 2017.
The series is designed with the idea of a cubus in mind.

The No Idea High offers privacy and seclusion because of the exceptionally extended partition without overpowering a space. An ideal area to concentrate, have a quiet conversation or a private phone call. The use of upholstery work as sound absorbing walls.
